Ayşecan Terzioğlu is elected to the Directory Board of AMEA (Association of Middle East Anthropology). Co-founded by Prof. Souad Joseph and Prof. Marcia Inhorn in 2012, this organization aims to advance academic research in Anthropology of the Middle East. It promotes and facilitate communication and collaboration among its members and other researchers, through organizing meetings in collaboration with MESA (Middle East Studies Association) and AAA (American Anthropological Associations), as well as giving book and article awards.
